A nice little ad from Mr Blumenstein for the second Comic Book Funny, this April in Melbo.
Recognise the voice?
I’m bummed x 10 that I’ll not be able to attend the second one. The first was great, but this one oughta be simply rad. I’ll be in Japan for a hardly-needed-at-all holiday. Here is a breakdown of my four favourite cities in order:
Canberra = Work, peace, beauty, space, Kismet.
Tokyo = Basically like the Katamari Damacy world.
Sydney = Drunkenness, weird smells, Chinatown, adventures.
um… oh yeah, but Comic Book Funny will be grand. So will Tokyo. I hope they don’t have Peking Duck without me. I will be having green tea ice cream with my sister and pals. And so ends my most dull blog entry to date.
From the Regal Australasian Mint. On one side you have a cute marsupial, and on the other you have an adorable woman with a little crown on her head! I only did the animal bit though.
I am re-drawing my 24 hour comic Gnome Valley ‘86 for the next issue of You Stink #10. Here’s a scene where laid back muso Easthope tries to impress the ladies with song and knowledge. Don’t forget – right clicking and selecting “view image” will show the picture in proper size.
Here is some sweet linework.
In other news I flew down to Melbourne for a weekend comics camp last week. Do I really want to start this speil? It will seriously go for ages. No, it is 11:24 pm.
This ep had some nice frames, but I started using a font of my own handwriting that I made. About the only good thing is that it’s neater. I thought it might make things quicker but I don’t think it does, and it just looks like a font! But I think Stan Sakai uses them, so…
I'm a comic artist living in Melbourne, Australia. I make a living doing the strips Tales From the Pub and Lesson Master for Picture Magazine. I also do lots of underground comix and illustration.
This site is updated daily with new work! You might want to consider the benefits of coming back all the time.
I dig your emails.
