Tootleg Boy

October 15, 2009

Presenting The Tootleg Boy Anthology! I are proud to present a magical CD collection of over 280 very short, peurile songs, created electronically, and sung with feeling by a computer.  With classic tunes such as Nail in my Dickhole, Wee Drinkers, I am Saucy, A Little Bit of Jesus, Saucy Man Saucy Woman, I Like Pine Plantations and Sniff My Penis, Tootleg Boy takes electronica away from the dance floor and into my toilet.

The CD comes complete with a fully illustrated lyrics booklet, containing artworks from collaborating comic artists from around Australia, all inspired by the Tootleg Boy songs.  Contributing cartoonists include Arran McKenna, David Blumenstein, Giles Kilham, Pat Grant, Patrick Alexander, Rebecca Clements, Glenn Smith, me, Daniel Reed, Anton Emdin, Gina Monaco, Ross Tesoriero and Chris Downes.

The CD also contains several animated film clips of Tootleg Boy songs.

For a sweet $9 this unique CD can be thine.  Simply use the link below, or contact me at drphwoar@yahoo.com and I’ll see ya right!

Here is the unaired 8th episode!  We weren’t allowed to show it because it had references to specific gaming consoles, or something like that.

Comic Book Funny #2

March 31, 2009

A nice little ad from Mr Blumenstein for the second Comic Book Funny, this April in Melbo.

Recognise the voice?

I’m bummed x 10 that I’ll not be able to attend the second one.  The first was great, but this one oughta be simply rad.  I’ll be in Japan for a hardly-needed-at-all holiday.  Here is a breakdown of my four favourite cities in order:

  1. Canberra = Work, peace, beauty, space, Kismet.
  2. Tokyo = Basically like the Katamari Damacy world.
  3. Sydney = Drunkenness, weird smells, Chinatown, adventures.
  4. Melbourne = Drunkenness, artists, art, Peking duck.

um… oh yeah, but Comic Book Funny will be grand.  So will Tokyo.  I hope they don’t have Peking Duck without me.  I will be having green tea ice cream with my sister and pals.   And so ends my most dull  blog entry to date.

Songsmith Metallica

January 27, 2009

I did one of those Songsmith songs that everyone’s makin’, where you find the vocal track of a song, then run it through Microsoft Songsmith, thus replacing the music with amusing results:
Battery

Blackened (I made a cool clip for this one!)

Guns, Vodka and Gravity

Here’s a short animation created by Michael Blake, David McDermott and Me as part of the “Great Moments in History” series by Bigpond.   In case you didn’t realise, we are the same team who brought you Fatal Rage of Conflict. I don’t have any thumbnails so just GO AND WATCH IT!
